Airtel Guest Lecture

On the 3^rd of December, Shri. Ashok Ganapathy, the Regional CEO of Bharti AirTel for the Mumbai, Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat circle and Ms. Shikha Gupta presented a lecture on Sustainable growth in VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex & Ambiguous) times: A telecom perspective.

Mr. Ganapathy also discussed how Airtel has changed its positioning and strategy in the market, taking participants down memory lane by playing some old ads, and showing exactly how their propositions had changed. They were valuable examples of applications of lessons learnt in Marketing Management. Participants could easily relate to the changes that Airtel had to make to its strategy to survive and grow in the market. Mr. Ganapathy nicely put forward the concepts of a VUCA world with real life business examples. Around 120 students attended the event, and we trust that the Placement Committee conducts more lectures like this one in the coming months!
